finished rugby jersey and booties(complete with sprigs)knitted it in son's team colours but had time to do beanie in daughter in law's team colours. Am in NZ for family visit and brought'many coloured'jacket am currently knitting for 2yo granddaughter but got sidetracked with beanies and mittens for all 4 grandbabies!12,10,2 and 4 months.
Had to buy some fav.wool while here-merino mink,wool blended with possum,its so soft and warm. Also Ashford do a faux fairisle sock wool that looks great in booties,you just have to match every 2nd boot.

you have certainly been busy NZ knitter....i love the faux fair-isle yarns too....the colour mixtures are wonderful!!!!

I am working on a string bag using Peaches and Cream Cotton yarn that was left over from making my youngest son's family an afghan to remind them of Key West FL when they were ordered back to Norfolk VA. MY youngest son is in the US Navy and is stationed aboard the USS Enterprise, the oldest aircraft carrier in the Navy. When I finish this string bag, I will make another one for her.

a cabled baby blanket.... for a baby that's due any day now.... she probably won't get it until she's about a month old! tee hee

I was wondering if someone could give me some tips on how to find free download patterns for baby hats...I'm trying to knit hats for agroup that is traveling to Kenya in October and would like to use up my scrap yarn while making the hats for a worthwhile cause.
