Welcome! It's addictive, isn't it! One of my favorite things about the web is access to other crocheters and all of the free patterns.

Hi all,
New here too. Love to crochet just about anything and everything. Started crocheting in my twenties and just can't stop.
(p.s. To BuckhornFarm..you wouldn't be in Buckhorn, Ontario would you? I had an aunt and uncle who lived there for years, I wonder?? The world is a small place. email if you'd like: sodabread@rogers.com)

Well...
Let's go for 3 out of 4. I'm new too. (LOL) I'm Sheryl, from Illinois. I am almost the same age, I'm 53---amazing how quickly those years snuck up on me. I played with chains and single crochet when I was a kid, not really doing anything with it, just playing. Then when I was 18, I took a serious interest in it. Now I crochet at least an hour every day. Many days much longer. I do most of my work for charity, so of course, I'm always online looking for the free patterns. And what a blessing to have so many wonderful people willing to share! Thanks for allowing me access to these great patterns.

Sheryl

Hi, I'm 56 and new to the post. I love to crochet and knit simple patterns. I also learned to knit and crochet at a young age, but raising a family kept me from activitely working on the needles until just a few years ago. Glad to see that I'm in great company with the 50's girls. I will post some of my quick and simple patterns soon for us to share.

Barb :)

Hi,
New here also. I have been knitting and crocheting since childhood. I mostly knit these days. I am 52.

I love trying new things that look hard. Sometimes I am successful and sometimes not. My biggest problem is I am very left handed.

I thought I would jump in here while I am still in the 50`s crowd. I will turn 60 in June! Where does the time go?! I am a widow of 3yrs.I have 3 children (2 boys & 1 girl) and 3 grandaughters.
I live in West Central Florida. Been here for 25yrs. and love the warm weather! Although I have to admit it`s the winter time when I remember why we moved South. The summers can be brutal!
I have done crochet, cross stitch, plastic canvas, embroidery and some sewing. The last several years I have been mostly interested in crocheting. But, I have been in a slump!!! I hope this forum will help get me going. I have projects to do and I wish they were done! But, I just can`t get myself in gear! :( See you on the forums! ;)

Hi,
I'm new here also. I just jumped all the way to 60. I learned to crochet from my Grandmother when I was 6 years old and am still at it. I love to collect patterns on the internet. I still have trouble following them. I usually end up making up my own and using the patterns for inspration.

Well I guess I might as well jump in---I'm new here too, 51 years old & with not nearly enough time to crochet. I also want to learn to knit but that's on the back burner at the moment since I have about 6 crochet projects in various stages of unfinishedness (new word--I just made it up :P ) Hope to find ideas & inspiration here.
