Supplies
  • 7 (8, 9) Skeins in Rendezvous 2368- Moda Dea Cache (75% Wool / 22% Acrylic / 3% Polyester ; 50 grams / 72 yds)

  • Knitting Needle - Size US 10.5

  • Crochet Hook - Size K

  • Gauge - 15 sts = 4"

    Back

    Cast on 54 (65, 81) stitches. Knit 4 rows. Continue in Stockinette stitch until piece measures 7" (7 ½", 8 ½"). To shape armholes, BO 3 (5,7) stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows. Decrease 1 stitch at each end for the next 4 (4, 6) rows. Continue working even until piece measures 15" (16", 17 ½"). Bind off loosely.

    Right Front

    Cast on 80 (88, 98) stitches. Knit 4 rows. Next row (RS) Bind off 40 (44, 49), K 40 (44, 49). Work in Stockinette stitch even for the next 10 rows. Continue working in Stockinette stitch while decreasing 1 stitch at the neck edge every 4th row until piece measures 9" (9 ½", 10 ½") ending with a RS row. To shape armhole, Bind off 3 (5,7) stitches on the next row (WS) and decrease 1 stitch at armhole edge for the next 4 (4, 6) rows while continuing to decrease 1 stitch at the neck edge every 4th row. When there are 18 (20, 22) stitches left on your needle, stop the decreases and continue working straight until piece measures 17" (18", 19 ½"). Bind off loosely.

    Left Front

    Cast on 80 (88, 98) stitches. Knit 4 rows. Next row (WS) Bind off 40 (44, 49), K 40 (44, 49). Work in Stockinette stitch even for the next 10 rows. Continue working in Stockinette stitch while decreasing 1 stitch at the neck edge every 4th row until piece measures 9" (9 ½", 10 ½") ending with a WS row. To shape armhole, Bind off 3 (5,7) stitches on the next row (RS) and decrease 1 stitch at armhole edge for the next 4 (4, 6) rows while continuing to decrease 1 stitch at the neck edge every 4th row. When there are 18 (20, 22) stitches left on your needle, stop the decreases and continue working straight until piece measures 17" (18", 19 ½"). Bind off loosely.

    Sleeves (make 2):

    Cast On 30 (32, 34) stitches. Knit 4 rows. Continue working in Stockinette stitch and at the same time increase 1 stitch at each edge every 8th row, 7 times. Continue until piece measures 19"(20", 22"). Next Bind off 4 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows. Bind off 3 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows. Bind off 1 stitch at the beginning of the next 18 (18, 20) rows. Bind off remaining stitches loosely.

    Finishing

    Sew shoulder seams. Sew sleeves on. Sew side and sleeve seems, but leave a 1 ½ inch opening ½ inch up from the garter stitch bottom of the right side seam to slide the strap through. Using the crochet hook, do 1 row of single-crochet and 1 row of shrimp stitch around neck edge.
