Caps and connections grow from knitting group's craft

The women who meet every Monday morning at the Citizen Center have busy hands. They love to knit. But what has been even more rewarding is that many of their finished products benefit a good cause. They recently gathered all their creations from the past few months. The hats, scarves and toys covered the conference table that they gathered around. More full boxes were on the floor. All the knitted items, which started from a pile of donated yarn, will be delivered to the Jimmy Fund in Boston for children going through chemotherapy and to Headstart in Haverhill to help keep local kids warm.
